Dryers

If your dryer isn’t heating, try checking the circuit breaker to make sure you have the correct power connected to the dryer. The circuit breaker for your dyer should be 240 volts. The motor requires 120 volts to run, and the remaining 120 volts power the heat element on an electric dryer. If you do not have enough power, the motor may run without heat.

If your dryer is taking forever to dry clothes, check the tubing and vent for kinks or restrictions. The tubing and vent need to be clear of debris and kinks to allow for proper airflow. Clean them out and make sure nothing is blocking the airflow. If the problem persists, contact us to schedule a service call.

Washing Machines

If your washing machine is starting to smell like mold, you can clean it with washing machine cleaner. This should get rid of all unwanted odors. If the problem persists, the washer may need a more thorough cleaning by a professional.

Does your washer seem to frequently go off balance? First check to make sure the machine is level. If it is level and still going off balance, you may need to start sorting your clothes by the wet weight. This should eliminate most balance issues. If the machine is still shaking, the problem may be that your floor is weak

Dishwashers

When your dishwasher is leaving spots on your dishes, you may need to add a rinse agent. If you have hard water, try switching to a dish detergent with anti-spotting additives.

Refrigerators

Is your refrigerator running longer and not staying as cold? Your condenser coils probably need to be cleaned. You should clean condenser coils for refrigerators and freezers every six months or as needed. Otherwise, the temperature inside the appliance will start to warm up, and the life of the compressor will be shortened.

If the side of your refrigerator or freezer is hot to the touch, the problem is likely either the condenser fan has failed or the condenser coil is dirty. If the condenser coils are dirty, clean them and see if this solves the problem. If not, you may need a new condenser fan motor.

If your top mount refrigerator is leaking water from the bottom, the defrost drain funnel or defrost tube might be plugged up. Your model may allow access to the defrost drain area so that you can remove and clean the funnel to fix the problem.

By providing us with the make, model, and description of the issue, we can have an idea of the parts we will need to bring when we come out to repair the appliance. If we do not already have the parts on hand, we will order them for you.
